Listening to...

I am not sure if these bands have made it to the states yet.
For all I know they are on Star 94's top 40 -
but how would I know that?

Anyway just in case you haven't heard them - here they are:

Bastille - Pompeii
(not sure about the video)

Daughter - Still

And just to make sure no one is confused about my musical taste
Cullen and I recently stumbled, yes stumbled was my word of choice, upon this song.
Don't judge, they play different songs on the radio in the UK.
Oh wait he won American Idol...  well we only heard it a few months ago!

el sol

Cullen surprised me with a trip to Spain.
We were both growing weary of the gray skies and cold weather
and needed some sunshine in our life.

We went to Marbella in Southern Spain and had an amazing time!
The weather was perfect and we enjoyed exploring Puerto Banus and Old Town Marbella.

Brrrr

It's been snowing in Durham for about two weeks!
It melts a little every now and then, but we currently have a lot of snow.
I have always loved snow and don't get me wrong I still do,
but I have never had to drive, walk to the grocery store, walk the dog or go to work in snow.
To me snow means a day off of school or a trip somewhere cold.

We have gone "sledging" and enjoyed ourselves...

...but, it is time to say bye bye to the snow!

The hills are alive (it's about time)

A few months ago Cullen and I went to Austria and Switzerland with our good friends Graham and Elizabeth.  I think I was a bit overwhelmed with the amount of pictures I took and all the editing, so I procrastinated posting.  I have yet to do much editing, but wanted to post anyways - it was an amazing trip!

VIENNA
 St. Stephen's Cathedral

Schönbrunn Palace Gardens

A night at one of the wine gardens outside Vienna

The Belvedere Musuem

Gustav Klimt, Death and Life

Karlskirche Church

The Leopold Museum
Leopold has one of the biggest collections of Egon Schiele's work (one of my favorite artists).
I also think Johnny Depp should play Egon Schiele in a movie - they look identical!

SALZBURG

INNSBRUCK

The amazing sunrise we witnessed while leaving the city.

LAKE THUN

We took the boat to Interlaken and spent the night in Faulensee.
 MURREN AND THE LAUTERBRENNAN VALLEY

The view from our hotel in Murren

We took a cable car to the top of the Schilthorn for a view of
the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau Mountains.

Graham and Elizabeth went paragliding  from Murren into The Lauterbrennen Valley.

Anyone want to meet somewhere fun?

Home for the Holidays

Cullen and I went home to Atlanta for Christmas this year.
We had a great time being home with family and friends.

We started off our journey home with a night in London.
We had a great meal at Polpo and saw
Les Miserables at Queens Theater.

Here are a few highlights from our time in Atlanta.
