Christmas Time

It was a little weird celebrating Thanksgiving on Saturday
and decorating our tree on Sunday.
But without Thanksgiving in this country people start
celebrating Christmas earlier, and I am a big fan!


If you know me well, I struggle with restraint sometimes,
so when I say I am proud of myself for only using 500 lights....
You should be proud of me too!!

Here is my tree from last year with roughly 10,000 lights on it:




I know, hard to leave that spot in front of the fire.
It only makes me SUPER excited
to head home and lay by the fire with Weldan
and stare at my parents Christmas tree

If I do say so myself, pretty cute!

We decorated with Nathan and Nicole,
thanks to their collecting of Christmas decorations
from past grad students we have a pretty full tree.
